Freeze-Resistant Johnson-Su Bioreactors and Beneficial Soil Microbes

In this free, hands-on workshop, learn about plant/microbe symbioses and interactions, and learn how to cultivate beneficial microbes in freeze-resistant Johnson-Su composting bioreactors!

General Agenda:

• 1:00-1:30 p.m.: Introductions
• 1:30-2:00 p.m.: Introduction to plant-microbe symbioses and Johnson-Su composting bioreactors
• 2:00-5:30: Bioreactor filling
• 5:30-6:00 p.m.: Q&A

After the field day, there will be a free dinner at Range Café (720 Main Street, Los Lunas, NM 87031)

• Work clothes and shoes
• Sun protection
• Water bottle
• Gloves and goggles
• Face mask (recommended for filling the bioreactors, which can be a dusty process)
